Back From Cali

AHHHHHHHH! We are back from Cali and MAN did I have a blast! It was probably the most fun I've have since I've been pregnant. I re-realized how awesome my family is and how thankful I am to have them. I am totally gonna miss them all and all the mexican food as well. LOL! I had mexican pretty much everyday I was out there and it was so yummy! Even though I ate so much, I think I actually shrank while I was out there. Maybe it's that California sun that gives your body a little boost, I don't know. My sister-in-law and I had a blast talking about our little girls and sharing our pregnancy stories, thus far. Can't wait till we get to share our mommy stories. We also had a awesome Spa Day complete with manis, pedis, prenatal message and facials! SO RELAXING which is exactly what we both needed. My shower was so much fun, even though I think I over did it with all the running around cause i ended up getting sick that night and still recovering from it. Luckily we had A LOT of help from our hubbies and friends. As I enjoyed the shower, the boys had a blast rock climbing and hanging out which was awesome for Nick to get to do with everyone, he had so much fun. Nick and I came to Cali with just one carry on and one personal item and flew back to MD with 6 bags! Mostly books and clothes. That was an adventure in itself! I was glad to be back home only because I did miss Lilu A LOT but wish I had more time out there. Only 6 more months left and we'll be back, that time Lilu is coming with us YAY! Then she'll get to visit all her friends, her sister, and her new cousin! Next to come on our schedule is Lamaze classes, moving and...baby's birthday. The last couple months are gonna fly by so fast, I need to remember to enjoy it and not let it just fly by. Can't wait to see you all again! Until next time :D

3D/4D pix

Really...never thought I'd get these done in a million years. Quite frankly I think the pictures are kinda scary, but when it's your own child it's a whole different story. I think they are so adorable, and to see her moving was even better. There is a picture of her puckering her lips and you can see how chubby her cheeks are, one of her sucking her thumb, and one of her smiling with her mouth open. We also got a DVD of her moving. I think this is gonna be so fun to show Zeina when she gets older. Enjoy the pix but I'm sure you won't be enjoying them as much as Nick and I are. WE ARE SO EXCITED!!!!! Until next time

Bedding done!

Bedding is done! Just need to add on a few ties here and there. I've bought so many clothes for Zeina. I've got everything from NB-5T in there. LOL!!! I HATE shopping for myself, I actually need to try things on now. I figured I'd shop for her instead and  I enjoy it more then I would shopping for myself anyway so YAY!

OOOOOCCCCCHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Had my first experience with leg cramps this morning. I woke up in so much pain. Nick had a hard time trying to relieve it by pushing my foot up, my calf was so stiff it took him a minute or two. I was actually crying. I don't cry from pain very often. I didn't even cry getting my tattoo; 5 straight hours, no breaks, needle on my ribs, spine, and pelvic bone. Maybe give you an idea of my pain tolerance. It just took me by surprise. I'm a little sore, hopefully it doesn't last all week. On my 26th week now and California is less than a week away. I'm so glad it is the weekend, I had a full week of work and next week will probably be the same. -sigh-. just ready to relax and clean this house of mine before the busy week. Who's hair is this????

I am totally in aw on how my body is changing so fast. For those of you who have known me for a while, you'd probably picture my hair BIG CURLY right??? Not anymore. My hair is now wavy with a little curl to it. WHAT THE HECK!!! LOL! They say pregnancy changes you well...it definitely has changes the way I look that's for sure. lol. It's almost as if I'm in another person's body. I've gained so much weight everywhere but you know I don't think my body would have been able to handle a baby without growing A LOT! I look back at pictures from 6 months ago and OMG was I tiny. There is no way a baby would have fit in those hips  and that waist LOL! I've written down my measurements from the beginning and here is how I've grown so far

HUGE difference even between pre-pregnancy to the 3rd month when usually you don't change that much until your second trimester. So even though I'm a little freaked out about how drastically my body has changed I know it's doing just what it needs to to keep and grow a healthy baby girl. Since my first appointment til now, my growth ratio compared to how the baby is growing is only 1 day off. The doctor says this is excellent and even a few days off is really good so baby is growing right on track. :D yay! Thank you body for doing what you are supposed to do and for taking care of me and Zeina so well. The body is truly amazing, I can't see how anyone does not believe is was designed and made in an exact way for an exact purpose. We are definitely not just an accident. Until next time

More projects!!! 6 months

Okay so I'm working on the bedding. You will see some finished, I'm still working on some. I'm so excited and even more excited for my baby shower in Cali! I just can't wait to see everyone and also have a vacation. I've been working so much and I really do need a vacation :D. Look for more pics of nursery projects to come. I might not get it all done until right before baby is born because we are going to be moving, not sure where yet, sometime in July and Zeina is due middle of August...WOW! That's coming soon! SCARY DAY

I had work at an elementary school today. I got there all stressed out; I was 10 min late because there was construction off the highway and it took me 30 mins to jut get off the freeway!!! GRRRR! I was so irritated. So it took me about an hour to get to work which should have only taken me 30 min MAX! Well I arrived safe, but rushed. FFFFEEEWWWW! Got to class, kids were just starting to arrive. Read the lesson plan. Today is Earth day so the day was supposed to be fun and filled with lots of activities. I was just about to line the kids up to go to art class when another teacher came in and introduced herself and said "Hi, I'm just going around to all the subs today to let them know... the reason why a lot of the teachers aren't here today is because there was an outbreak of Fifth Disease and it can effect pregnant women" WHAT WHAT WHAT! "so if any of our subs are pregnant we need to dismiss you" WHAT WHAT WHAT! I NEED TO LEAVE! awful things crossed my mind and I tried as calmly as possible to say "then I need to leave". She kept talking to me, but I wasn't paying attention. All I could think about was  getting my baby out of there and driving  straight to my OBGYN office, which was luckily right down the street, and find out how bad this exposure was. After many apologies from the front office and teachers not sure if I was actually expecting, I ran out of that school, straight into my car, called Nick to tell him what had happened, and drove the block to my OBGYN office. I've heard of the disease before but didn't know what it actually was, but if all the pregnant teachers in that school were out for the week I sure wasn't gonna stay there. The nurses in the office were very nice by taking me without an appointment and told me they had sent a note to triage and they would get back with me ASAP to set up an appointment to get some blood work done to make sure I'm immune to it. I left the office still a little worried but the nurses had reassured me  it wasn't an emergency. About 15 min went by when triage called so I made an appointment tomorrow morning for blood work and hopefully everything is fine. I found out that Fifth disease is common in children and most people are exposed to it as children and build immunities to it at a young age, but if you are pregnant and come in contact with it and you aren't immune to it, it can have a fatal impacted on the fetus. The good thing is that there is only a 1% chance of fatality in fetuses over 20 weeks. The bad thing is I was at that school about 4 weeks ago and the incubation period of Fifths Disease is between 4-21 days, so I could have been in contact with the carrier then which makes the probability of fatality jump to 10%. Another good thing is that I haven't felt sick and I have had 2 visits with my OBGYN since then including the Comprehensive Sonogram and everything has come up normal. I YI YI. I'm still a little freaked out, I'm trying not get too worried;  I just really hope everything comes back fine. From now on I will be asking if there are any out brakes of any kind of disease in a school before I walk into it. Until next time
