Any day now!

Almost on my 38th week and I'm sitting in Panera Bread using the internet because we just moved and do not have Internet set up in our house yet. The move went really well. Makes me so thankful for having such good friends. Special thanks to Chris, Jessi, Stacy, Tyson, Rob, Corn, Seki, and Kate. We really couldn't have done it without you! Not only did our friends help us move but they also tried to make my birthday special by making cupcakes and singing "Happy Birthday". It was so sweet! Also thanks to the girls for calming me down. I had a few panic attacks while moving. LOL! Silly hormones can make you feel crazy.
So we are finally moved in. I'm trying my best to get things unpacked and put in their place without hurting myself. It is SO hard not to over do it. My brain says YES but my body says NO! I'm so ready for this baby to come but on the other hand this house NEEDS to be done first and we still got a lot of other things to do like get the car seat installed, buy a couple more items, paint Zeina's room, go grocery shopping... the list never ends . Ugh! I hope I can get it all done.
I am also so swollen! After the move I noticed my hands hurt so bad if I've been laying down too long. Usually after a nap or in the morning when I wake up I feel like I've been holding a rope for hours. My feet are also a little swollen but it's mostly in my hands which enables me to wear my wedding ring. This gets pretty interesting when I go out by myself. I already look pretty young for my age and then I have this HUGE belly I can't hide if my life depended on it and no wedding ring. I get some interesting looks from people. LOL! From older women I get the "disgusted" look, from younger women I get the "poor thing" look and from men I get the "ALRIGHT!" look. LOL! All are equally uncomfortable. But when I'm with Nick it's a whole different story. haha. Oh well. I haven't gotten any strangers touching my belly or making any inappropriate comments yet. I don't know why but I'm glad. The other day Nick and I were in Home Depot checking out when the cashier ask how far along I was. I answered "I have about 2 weeks to go" the lady responded "I thought so," (I was think oh here we go my first you look like you're gonna pop comment) she continued "cause it looks like you've dropped a little" FFFFFFFEEEEEEWWWWWWW!!!!!! I think that is the nicest way to say you are having the baby soon. It actually kinda made me feel good, like I accomplished something. LOL. I don't know I guess I'm weird. haha.
I have another one of my weekly appointment today. Just a routine checkup so I'm sure everything is okay. Just waiting. ANY DAY NOW! until next time.
PS- Oh ya belly belly has finally hit 40". Geez it took about 2 months to grow an inch

9 MONTHS WOO WOO!!!!

YAY! Finally 9 months, it feels so good to say that. Everything so far has gone exactly the way it's supposed to almost to textbook. :D I just hope and prey that the next few weeks go just as smoothly. We are moving this weekend and you better believe I am so happy. By next week EVERYTHING should be put away and ready for our new addition. FFFFFEEEEEEWWWWW! We are so ready and I'm pretty sure Zeina is ready to be out too. I've been measuring myself since the beginning and it seems my tummy hasn't left the 39" measurement since 30 weeks so I've been the same size for about 6 weeks now and I'm sure she is getting really cramped in there. The big 36 week appointment is this week so I should get a good idea on how big she is so far and know a little more about how she is doing. I'll keep you all updated. Until next time

6 more weeks and SO excited I could pee!

So there are six more weeks till Zeina's due date but I have a feeling she's coming early...I'm gonna say about 5 days. I am so excited I can't wait. Our anniversary is tomorrow, my birthday is in about 3 weeks and we are moving on the 25th. I thought all this was going to just fly by but it seems as if it's "groundhog day" every day. GRRRRR! The last two weeks were so hard to get through. With being SO tired, body aches, and overwhelmed with moving I though I was going crazy. I actually woke up one day and swore my insides were bruised cause they hurt so bad. I guess it could happen...weird? I'm happy to say that I'm feeling MUCH better this week. Even though my body is still achy with all the stretching, I think I'm getting used to it. And I'm actually not scared or nervous anymore about labor and delivery. I'm actually kinda looking forward to it. I think my focus is now on seeing her and holding her, and thoughts of looking ridiculous or doing something embarrassing are taking a back seat. And it also helps that Nick isn't thinking about that stuff either. He just wants me to have a healthy delivery and wants to see her and really could care less about anything else. We had our birthing class and tour of the hospital about a week ago and we really LOVED our hospital. It just felt very welcoming, they even have a bed for Nick to sleep in in the recovery and delivery rooms!!! I'm feeling very confident now that I know what to expect on Zeina's birthday(s). :D YAY! I'm feeling her move just as much but the blows are much less intense as she's running out of space to move. As I stopped growing for the last month she continues to grow. I think she kinda gets a little frustrated in there sometimes. She's probably thinking "WHAT THE HECK! what happened to my room?" LOL! Poor thing but at least I don't feel her karate kicks to my ribs and other organs as hard anymore. Well that's all for now. I start my weekly appointments this week. Keep you updated. Until next time

Am I the only one...?

So I'm starting to come to the realization that I'm not one of those "I love being pregnant" women. I have less than 10 weeks to go and I already can't wait til Zeina is no longer inside me and in our arms instead.  I just want to hold her already. I want to see what she looks like. Is she going to have dark or light hair? straight of curly? Brown, green, or blue eye (we have all these colors on both sides of our immediate family)? Is she going to be happy or grumpy most the day? I want Nick to get the opportunity to get to know her and bond with her the way I've been so blessed to be able to do thus far, and I want to get to know her better than I do now. Some things I am already getting to know is that she is going to be VERY smart. An attribute I admire in Nick. She is going to love to learn and learning is going to come so natural to her. The reason I know this is because of her movements. I've mentioned before that I was able to feel her kick at 15 weeks and see her kick at 17 weeks. And now that I'm further along I can feel how strong her motor skills are and how controlled they are. I can tell by the way she moves that she's gonna be a smart kid.
I'm also starting to get really anxious about labor and the first week or two of her life as well. -sigh-. At first I was a little sad that our family wasn't going to be able to be there for the first days of her life but now I'm really glad that Nick and I are going to be able to experience labor and the first few days on our own. I think it's going to be extra special because we will be alone. Not that i don't love my family but I think having EVERYONE around right after delivery would be very overwhelming and a little frustrating cause I want us to be able to get to know our child without any distractions or interruptions. And not that I feel that our family is a bother at all, I'm sure I'd be excited if our circumstances were different where our family was close enough to just come visit for a day, but that's not the case with us now. We're gonna have family over for weeks at a time, that's a little overwhelming to us especially with a newborn around. AMEN ANYONE?
I'm also getting anxious about her getting her room done and feeling comfortable. I'm taking on projects one at a time and it seems to be working out fine so far. I'm not the type to like to do things in stages, I like things to be started and then finished all in one day if possible, so this is a little difficult for me to get used to but it's working out, I guess :D.
Yes I am a little bored at home by myself throughout the day but I also need to treasure this quiet time I've been given before baby comes. Yes I am anxious for this baby to be born but I need to rejoice in that fact that I do get to experience pregnancy because some women don't get the opportunity. And yes I wish we lived closer to our family so we can share this experience with them but God has given us an awesome opportunity to experience this blessing on our own with Him which a lot of people aren't not able to experience. :D so overall we are REALLY excited about our new life as our own new family and we wouldn't have it any other way. God is definitely in control and that's how I like it. We have a pediatrician consult in a couple days so hopefully we'll like him. More to come on that. Until next time

Back From Cali

AHHHHHHHH! We are back from Cali and MAN did I have a blast! It was probably the most fun I've have since I've been pregnant. I re-realized how awesome my family is and how thankful I am to have them. I am totally gonna miss them all and all the mexican food as well. LOL! I had mexican pretty much everyday I was out there and it was so yummy! Even though I ate so much, I think I actually shrank while I was out there. Maybe it's that California sun that gives your body a little boost, I don't know. My sister-in-law and I had a blast talking about our little girls and sharing our pregnancy stories, thus far. Can't wait till we get to share our mommy stories. We also had a awesome Spa Day complete with manis, pedis, prenatal message and facials! SO RELAXING which is exactly what we both needed. My shower was so much fun, even though I think I over did it with all the running around cause i ended up getting sick that night and still recovering from it. Luckily we had A LOT of help from our hubbies and friends. As I enjoyed the shower, the boys had a blast rock climbing and hanging out which was awesome for Nick to get to do with everyone, he had so much fun. Nick and I came to Cali with just one carry on and one personal item and flew back to MD with 6 bags! Mostly books and clothes. That was an adventure in itself! I was glad to be back home only because I did miss Lilu A LOT but wish I had more time out there. Only 6 more months left and we'll be back, that time Lilu is coming with us YAY! Then she'll get to visit all her friends, her sister, and her new cousin! Next to come on our schedule is Lamaze classes, moving and...baby's birthday. The last couple months are gonna fly by so fast, I need to remember to enjoy it and not let it just fly by. Can't wait to see you all again! Until next time :D
