Our Biggest Accomplishment

Our baby girl is here... OOOOFFF where shall I start.
It all started Tuesday morning at 1:00am. OOOOOOOO OUCH! woke up to contractions and went to the bathroom... oh yes I'm in labor. I woke Nick up and we started timing them. I decided to call the doctor at 4:30am and she said "come on down" AHHHHHHHHH!!! we both took showers and headed down to the hospital and got there at around 6:00am. We got to the exam room and to our surprise contractions stopped. GGGGGRRRRRRRR! The doctor checked me and I was 3-4 cm dilated with faint contractions. ARE YOU KIDDING! The doctor told us to go back home take a nap and a walk and come back when the contractions came back strong and frequent again. :( . I was so frustrated! We got back home around 8:00am I told Nick to go to work and I'd call him when i thought I was ready. I took a nap and at 9:15am woke up with strong contractions again. I laid in bed for a few minutes, got up and started walking around the house. I called Nick around 11:00am and told him to come home. We left the house an hour or so later, I wanted to make sure contractions were consistent, got to the hospital around 1:00pm. YAY!!!! I was sure I'd be admitted. But sure enough guess what happened as soon as I laid down on the bed...YES contractions stopped AGAIN!!!!! OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!! NO WAY WAS I GOING BACK HOME! Doctor check me again and YES!!!! I was dilated to 4cm. They admitted me and I got right back to walking again. After a million laps around the L&D floor we decided to get some rest in our room. After laboring for 16 hours it was time to get the drugs. I couldn't imagine being okay if the contractions got any worse and I was worried that the anaesthesiologist was going to be too busy to get to me if I waited any longer. Good thing because after I was done my nurse told me a ton of women had just come in to get admitted :D. After feeling so much better Nick and I were able to get some rest. We both watched TV together and ended up falling asleep. I woke up just before midnight with strong contractions on the right side of my lower back and stomach. I woke Nick up to get the nurse, who was awesome by the way, and she gave me a couple options. I decided I wanted to start pushing with the contractions and it helped a lot. I continued for the next 2 1/2 hours with no problems. Actually I think I told the nurse i could do that all day until the contractions in my lower back and stomach got worse. YIKES! She was coming and she was coming now. No time for the anaesthesiologist to come give me more drugs I had to push her out. After a half an hour of very strong contractions and excellent coaching and encouragement form my nurse and Nick our daughter was born.

At 3:05am on August 19th we had our baby girl. It was the best experience we've ever had. Nick was the best supporter ever. He was awesome. I couldn't have done it without him, I really couldn't. Especially the last 30 mins. It wasn't easy it was probably the hardest thing I've ever done but the feeling of accomplishment I know we both felt that morning was more than we could ever hope for. I felt proud that I did it and I felt the overwhelming love and pride Nick had for me. XOXOXOXOXOXO. I think we fell in love all over again with each other that morning and found a new love for our biggest accomplishment, our daughter. It was the best experience we've ever shared together and I'm so grateful for it.

I get to spend all of my time with her and I'm enjoying it very much and Nick is completely in love with her. He wants to hold her all the time when he gets home which is completely fine with me. Not only does it give me a little brake from taking care of her all day but I totally enjoy seeing him with her. They are both the cutest thing I've ever seen together. I love my new family and we are enjoying our new bundle more than we ever thought we would. Check in for more updates. Until next time

Playing the waiting game

Okay so I know EVERY pregnant women who goes over their due date goes through this but it is SO different when it's you going through it. It is so hard to not know when your baby is coming. Every single poke or squeeze could mean anything. So if you are asking...NOPE, no baby yet...I'M STILL PREGNANT! and how do I feel?... uh PREGNANT and ANXIOUS! and how will I feel tomorrow?...probably PREGNANT and ANXIOUS! and the day after that? SAME! LOL!!!! I feel as though I want to just get up and go shopping or go SOMEWHERE but on the other hand I feel so heavy and it's so hot outside I can't bare to leave the house. CONFUSIOUS????? I'm not miserable I promise it's just really hard to get my feelings in sync. It's like you are a million different things at once and the missing link is that baby inside you. :D Well all-in-all we couldn't be more excited, anxious, worried, achy, tired, joyful, silly, in love, and happy than we are right now but I'm pretty sure we will be once Zeina is here. Just waiting and I know the answer to this question but I have to ask- "IS SHE EVER GONNA COME?"

Nursery Pics

Zeina's room is finally done. The only thing I ended up buying was the crib, changing table, rocking chair (for a bargain), and frames. I made the valance, curtains, hooks, cushions, bedding, and mobile. Everything else we already had. I think it turned out pretty good. Just waiting for a rug and a couple of wall decals but overall IT IS DONE! YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!

YAY!!!! we finally have internet at our house now! I had my last OBGYN appt on friday and I haven't changed at all for 2 weeks. Still 70% efface and 0cm. Our friends helped us...well more like Nick... paint yesterday and I'm so glad. I made a HUGE breakfast for all of them so show how much I appreciate all their help. They helped move us and painted! They are so great, we love them! So today Nick and I will put the nursery back together! YAY! look for pictures! Today I went to get a last minute necessity, a car shade :D LOL!!! let me tell you even though it is such a small thing I feel so much better now that I got it. I installed it in the parking lot of toys r us. :D I still haven't found a large area rug for the nursery so I'm gonna try my luck tomorrow. I just can't wait to see our little girl. I have our hospital bag packed so now I'm just waiting. It seems like I've been waiting forever!!!!! I know I keep saying that but i just can't wait! Until next time

Any day now!

Almost on my 38th week and I'm sitting in Panera Bread using the internet because we just moved and do not have Internet set up in our house yet. The move went really well. Makes me so thankful for having such good friends. Special thanks to Chris, Jessi, Stacy, Tyson, Rob, Corn, Seki, and Kate. We really couldn't have done it without you! Not only did our friends help us move but they also tried to make my birthday special by making cupcakes and singing "Happy Birthday". It was so sweet! Also thanks to the girls for calming me down. I had a few panic attacks while moving. LOL! Silly hormones can make you feel crazy.
So we are finally moved in. I'm trying my best to get things unpacked and put in their place without hurting myself. It is SO hard not to over do it. My brain says YES but my body says NO! I'm so ready for this baby to come but on the other hand this house NEEDS to be done first and we still got a lot of other things to do like get the car seat installed, buy a couple more items, paint Zeina's room, go grocery shopping... the list never ends . Ugh! I hope I can get it all done.
I am also so swollen! After the move I noticed my hands hurt so bad if I've been laying down too long. Usually after a nap or in the morning when I wake up I feel like I've been holding a rope for hours. My feet are also a little swollen but it's mostly in my hands which enables me to wear my wedding ring. This gets pretty interesting when I go out by myself. I already look pretty young for my age and then I have this HUGE belly I can't hide if my life depended on it and no wedding ring. I get some interesting looks from people. LOL! From older women I get the "disgusted" look, from younger women I get the "poor thing" look and from men I get the "ALRIGHT!" look. LOL! All are equally uncomfortable. But when I'm with Nick it's a whole different story. haha. Oh well. I haven't gotten any strangers touching my belly or making any inappropriate comments yet. I don't know why but I'm glad. The other day Nick and I were in Home Depot checking out when the cashier ask how far along I was. I answered "I have about 2 weeks to go" the lady responded "I thought so," (I was think oh here we go my first you look like you're gonna pop comment) she continued "cause it looks like you've dropped a little" FFFFFFFEEEEEEWWWWWWW!!!!!! I think that is the nicest way to say you are having the baby soon. It actually kinda made me feel good, like I accomplished something. LOL. I don't know I guess I'm weird. haha.
I have another one of my weekly appointment today. Just a routine checkup so I'm sure everything is okay. Just waiting. ANY DAY NOW! until next time.
PS- Oh ya belly belly has finally hit 40". Geez it took about 2 months to grow an inch

9 MONTHS WOO WOO!!!!

YAY! Finally 9 months, it feels so good to say that. Everything so far has gone exactly the way it's supposed to almost to textbook. :D I just hope and prey that the next few weeks go just as smoothly. We are moving this weekend and you better believe I am so happy. By next week EVERYTHING should be put away and ready for our new addition. FFFFFEEEEEEWWWWW! We are so ready and I'm pretty sure Zeina is ready to be out too. I've been measuring myself since the beginning and it seems my tummy hasn't left the 39" measurement since 30 weeks so I've been the same size for about 6 weeks now and I'm sure she is getting really cramped in there. The big 36 week appointment is this week so I should get a good idea on how big she is so far and know a little more about how she is doing. I'll keep you all updated. Until next time
