I took Lilu for another one of our walks today. We are spending so much time with each other lately. I'm beginning to talk to her as if she's a human... I need to find some friends. So I'm having a little trouble excepting the fact that not everyone is going to except her. While on our way around the neighborhood, we experienced a few acts of discrimination. While we were walking I noticed a lady gardening with her weenie dog outside with her. The moment she saw Lilu she ran to her precious pooch, scooped him up, and watched anxiously as we walked by. I looked down at Lilu as she pranced and smelled a couple flowers, she's always in her own little world when we're outside, and chuckled to myself just imagining what she was thinking. I looked up to give my neighbor a friendly wave hello and noticed she was already gone. Funny how that always seems to happen here. One man even opted to walk in the street in order to avoid us. These kinds of things didn't happen too often in California, in fact people were usually impressed by her. Well I guess you can't win them all. So we've have decided to join other Pit Bull owners on the 25th of October in baltimore for the second annual Pit Bull Awareness Day. We are so excited to be a part of it. This day is dedicated to educate, raise awareness, and promote a positive image for Pit Bulls and their owners. We are so excited to meet other owners, raise awareness, and have a little fun while doing it. It should be fun and we are hoping these types of events will help to encourage responsible pet ownership. Love your pits and pets.
